  • We had a great experience with SnapStays in Dallas. They were easy to work with and helped us with every aspect of the moving process. Our Project Manager Sandi was very professional and found us a nicely furnished apartment in a safe and convenient neighborhood for my son during his internship with the Cowboys. I liked SnapStays so much I invested in the company!
  • Working with SnapStays to find an apartment in Austin was a great experience. Their web page showed several alternatives. I was able to see a sample unit before booking it. The booking was easy and the apartment was fully furnished, with everything needed to start living there the day I moved in. I would always use SnapStays again when having to live in a new city for the time of a job I acquired.
  • Everything about SnapStays was pleasant! They met all of the needs of our executive which made the transitional move a smooth one. Sandi was very responsive and quick with all communication.
  • Staying with SnapStays was awesome! They were easy to communicate with and I was able to stay in such a nice apartment in downtown Memphis. I definitely would recommend!

The area of Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Texas, also known as The Big D, is a booming metroplex of business, arts, entertainment, and leisure.  This thriving city is home to some of the largest public companies in the country, including:  Exxon Mobile, McKesson Corp., Energy Transfer LP, American Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.  Famous for its higher education programs and cultural background, some popular activities in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area are ballets, concerts, festivals, art galleries, and musicals.  The economy features much variety, specializing in the fields of wholesale/retail services, health practices, telecommunications, while also being the city that leads in banking, financial, and trade in the Southwest.  With a population of about 6.3 million, the DFW area is surrounded by some beautiful, less-populated cities including Plano, Arlington, Carrollton, Denton, and Mesquite.  While the winters are mild and brief, and the summers are hot and humid, The Big D is a great city to visit, explore, do business, or even reside at all year long.

The major industries in DFW that employ a large number of local citizens include: Health care and social assistance, accommodation and food services, administrative and support, waste management, and remediation services.  With retail stores and shopping centers being high revenue generators, it is important to point out the abundance of new projects and infrastructure plans for the DFW area in the near future.  Contractors and construction workers are in high demand due to the blueprints for new luxury highrises, Valley View Mall, The Drever (refurbished 52-story First National Bank tower), corporate housing properties, Amazon Fulfillment Center, and Wade Park.  Along with these construction projects, many jobs can be found in the telecommunications and high-technology manufacturing fields, for example: software production, computer services, hardware manufacturing, semiconductors, and wireless communication equipment.  Aerospace manufacturing is a high supplier of jobs due to the large, and busy airports, but also because of DFW’s high volume of cargo flown in, and it’s crucial shipping and receiving of goods.  The largest employers in the DFW area include: Walmart, American Airlines, Dallas ISD, Texas Health Resources, Bank of America, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, and Texas Instruments.

As previously mentioned, DFW is a staple in Texas for higher education, especially the nursing programs.  In fact, since 2016, Texas has had the second most active registered nurses in the nation, according to Kaiser Family Foundation.  Some of the largest universities in DFW are The University of Texas at Arlington, The University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Woman’s University, and Southern Methodist University.  With the number of large universities, and the increased volume of nursing majors in the area, off-campus living and intern-housing will be in high demand.  The Big D has many suitable housing and leasing options available for these students near these schools.  To continue, the DFW area has also become a desirable location for major companies looking to relocate.  More so than ever, due to the pandemic, The Dallas Chamber reported that over 20 projects that include infrastructure revitalization will be relocated to the DFW area, including corporate headquarters and offices.  DFW has caught the eye of many companies because of its ability to keep up with the changes of business, low costs/taxes, a plentiful workforce, and its versatility when it comes to landscape (urban, suburban, and rural areas).  Some companies that have relocated to DFW include Core-Mark, Uber, and Charles Schwab.  In 2019, the Senior VP of economic development in DFW, reported that the region added 128,000 jobs, making it the third year in a row that DFW led the nation in net jobs gained.

Taking a look at the demographics, the DFW area is a diverse region, made up of 46% White, 29% Hispanic, 15% African American, 7% Asian, and 3% other.  The spring and summer months in DFW are beautiful and sunny, with temperatures reaching anywhere from the high 70 degrees to high 90 degrees.  The fall and winter months are mild and short, as well as there not being much rain during the year, making it a perfect destination.  Along with great weather, the Big D offers exciting attractions such as, Sundance Square, The Sixth Floor Museum, AT&T Stadium, Reunion Tower, and Dallas World Aquarium.  Sports fans of all kinds will enjoy the DFW area as it features teams like the Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers, Stars, and FC Dallas.  With a thriving business industry, endless shopping options, countless infrastructure projects, an exceptional education system, a comfortable climate and plentiful housing, the Dallas-Fort Worth region is a hotspot location for all.
